William C. Phillippi is the Senior Member and Leader of the firm's Business and Real Estate Transactions ("BRET") Group.

Mr. Phillippi is a business and real estate attorney with more than 25 years of transactional experience representing businesses from formation, through operation and growth, and finally disposition through the private practice of business, corporate, finance, mergers and acquisitions, real estate and securities law. He has also handled a significant number of commercial and residential real estate transactions, representing buyers, sellers or lenders.


  • Closed purchases or sales of businesses in size up to $250 million.
  • Represented lenders or borrowers in multi-million dollar financial transactions, including some in excess of $100 million.
  • Handled private and public offerings of securities, as either the issuer's or the underwriters' counsel, and volumes ranging up to more than $100 million.
  • Served as outside counsel for numerous public and large private companies with assets ranging to $1.3 billion in highly regulated industries.
  • Advised executive management of businesses in various industries of many sizes.
