Meet Sandra
Sandra P. Greenblatt is one of the first Florida lawyers to be Board Certified by The Florida Bar as an expert in Health Law (1995-present) and holds both a J.D. and a Masters' Degree in Business/Health Administration. She enjoys the "AV-Preeminent" highest possible rating in competence and ethical standards from Martindale-Hubbell, an AVVO Rating of 100 (Superb) and was named one of the "Top Lawyers in South Florida" for each year from 2000-2020 by the South Florida Legal Guide; a "Florida Super Lawyer" by Law & Politics from 2006-2014, 2016-2020; and 2014 Florida Healthcare Attorney of Year, Corporate Int'l Magazine Global Award.
Ms. Greenblatt has 36 years' experience giving practical business and health law regulatory advice to clients and serving as an expert “special health law counsel” to clients and other law firms. She has represented physician groups and physicians, dentists, entrepreneurs, management companies, payors, provider networks, TPAs, pharmacies, hospitals, mental health and substance use disorder treatment facilities, urgent care centers, medical spas and other health care businesses with contracts, licensure, the formation and representation of HMOs, MSOs, 1PAs, TPAs and group practices, asset and stock purchases/sales, mergers and acquisitions and Corporate Compliance Programs. She advises clients regarding the Stark Law, Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement issues, legislative, licensure and fraud and abuse matters. She served as lead counsel for the $60+ Million Dollar sale of affiliated clinics and diagnostic centers to a publicly traded company. She is a member of the American Health Law Association's Dispute Resolution Service and mediates and arbitrates health law related disputes.
Ms. Greenblatt is the author of "Health Care Technology Contracting" Chapters in the 2007 and 2009-2010 Florida Practitioner's Health Law Handbook published by The Florida Bar Health Law Section. She has served as a registered lobbyist, successful in getting her client included in Florida Statutes. She served on the Legal Working Group of the Florida Governor's Privacy and Security Project and served as General Counsel of the South Florida Health Information Exchange.
Prior to practicing law, Ms. Greenblatt was a Hospital Administrator for the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Medical Center. She has published numerous articles on health law topics and speaks frequently on technology contracting, compliance, physician integration and other health law issues to national and regional professional and industry associations, including the American Health Law Association, The Florida Bar and the Medical Group Management Association. She served for many years as Chairperson of the Florida Bar Annual Advanced Health Law Issues and Certification Review Course and was a member of the Executive Council of The Florida Bar Health Law Section.
